My name is Anah Aikman and I was born and raised in Queenstown, NZ, back when the population was much smaller and the lifestyle much simpler. My parents were of Maori and Scottish heritage, an ancestry line that I am proud to be a part of.
The majority of my life I have spent in New Zealand, though I have travelled far over the years. I have gazed upon the monks of the Dalai Lama’s home, been welcomed onto the desert mesas of Northern Arizona by the Hopi nation, explored the grasslands of the Masai Mara, and traversed the shifting landscapes in between.
I have two children who are both pursuing their passions, realising their dreams and achieving their goals. As with any mother, I am incredibly proud of whom they are becoming and am forever inspired by their journeys.
I am a practicing NZ Registered Nurse with a library of knowledge in health dynamics and leadership. I have been nursing for 40+ years, and have since trained in New York to become a certified Integrative Nurse Coach. I believe in the importance of authenticity, connectedness, empathy and compassion.
The Road Less Travelled was born from my desire to lead and share in out of the ordinary travel and wellness experiences for women. I wanted to create a positive space in which they had the freedom to be themselves.
My dream has since become a reality, and now I host travel and wellness opportunities to encourage growth in spirit, mind and body.
