We have a passion to empower and inspire women to step outside their comfort zones and live their lives in more meaningful ways.
Anah & Rachel bring the art of kindness, care and empathy into all they do.
Anah created The Road Less Travelled for Out of the Ordinary Travel and Wellness Experiences for Women in 2006. Today, the stories continue to grow and evolve. From Maori & Scottish ancestry, Anah brings with her a unique worldview perspective bound in her expansive nursing practice and knowledge. As a certified Nurse Coach, Anah believes in an integrated, collaborative and mindful approach to health and wellbeing, and she sees travel is an integral part of this. The values of empathy, compassion, connectedness and authentic leadership underpin who she is.
Rachel passion for creating beautiful food is an art. She ensures that the journey behind the scenes always runs smoothly and she will be joining us on this tour.
“One of my passions is abstract painting, along with the work I do as a Personal Assistant for various people, but my most favourite is cooking and baking with an emphasis on colour, taste and presentation. I met Anah Aikman quite a few years back now. She was a huge inspiration at the time and I knew that I would hang around with her and possibly we would create something wonderful in the future…and here we are.”
“From the luxury accommodation, to the jet boating, massage, yoga, hot pools and Michelin chef you left no stone unturned. However, for me it was your authentic, genuine self bringing together a group of (until that weekend mostly strangers) to inspire, support and listen in a completely open, genuine and non judgemental way that will remain with me. Because of this I have come home a better more authentic “me”.
My journey began with you and my fellow ladies and will continue because of the lessons I learnt. Friendships were forged, not only with those in our group but finally with myself”.
