Things to know about my diary/blog below;

First of all, when I use the term 'girls' ( I love to keep us all 'young' by this term) I mean any girls, doesn't matter whether young or in the autumn of their lives, these journeys for women, I believe, are ageless and boundless. Its not the age of a woman but her 'being', that makes these trips special.

Women who want to have a fun time, wish to step out of their comfort zone and are prepared to go with the flow, are the ones who join me. All types of good women have joined me in the past.

One year a wonderful woman in her 70's joined me in Bali. The thing, I think that attracts women, is the deeper picture and the ability to go with the flow that develops......... you can read more about my tours' points of difference and philosophies here , what other women thought here, or read all about my coming adventures and the latest tours below.

Porch Story

Filed under: Travel News — @ 8:26 am
THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED:
More now than ever before, as this world undergoes great change, we as women are seeking more meaningful connections, for us as individuals, our families and friends.
The ’Road Less Travelled’ journeys’ main underlying principle, is provide you with this opportunity.
To step out of our comfort zones seeking new experiences and learnings, giving you some ‘you ‘time to recharge.
This allows a place to develop where we can ‘see’ looking from the outside in.
A stepping stone towards reaching our full potential is my wish.
I often relate the story about the porch and the rocking chair.
Where do we want to be when we are older, sitting on our porch, in our rocking chair?
For me, I want to be sharing stories with my children, grandchildren, family, friends and strangers, stories that run the gamet of emotions, but stories of experience, variety and difference. Laughing, crying,… sharing company, good wine and good food.
Stepping out of the comfort zone and just doing is what makes our experiences unique.
The meaning of life for me, are the connections along the way and the positive differences we can make, whether known or unknown.
What is your Porch Story?

Earth Beat

Filed under: Earth Beat,Other Overseas Trips — @ 8:23 am

EARTH BEAT:
As we head into the zodiac sign of Sagittarius, the crystals and stones of Topaz, Turquoise and Amethyst dominate.
Topaz: For directing energy where its needed most, soothing, healing, stimulating and recharging.
It allows you to focus on ‘being’ rather than just ‘doing’.
Turquoise: For its protection and powerful healing elements that promotes both spiritual awareness and well being for the physical body.
It strengthens, purifies and balances, bringing together both the female and male energies.
Amethyst: Also a very powerful protector and one of the most spiritual stones.
Promotes great love, spiritual wisdom and intuition, calming and stimulating where necessary.
(See ‘The Crystal Bible’ by Judy Hall for more in depth information.)

EARTH BEAT update:
Many of you will be aware that I have been promoting and selling crystals and stones set in sterling silver jewellery, handmade by Balinese Craftsmen for some years.
I tend to mainly import ‘one off ‘ pieces to provide women with a unique beautiful piece of jewellery.
I am currently developing a website for this under the ‘Earth Beat’ label.
This will work in co-operation with ‘The Road Less Travelled’ allowing you to purchase handmade wares from artisans I have met on my travels.
My aim is to promote indigenous handcrafts, celebrating their exquisites crafts and stories in the hope that amidst this very technical world, we will hold onto some of our precious ancient crafts and values before too many more become lost.
These crafts have stories interwoven into them and it makes us all part of the bigger picture towards a better world.
Aotearoa, both Maori and Pakeha will feature, as I search for what makes something an indigenous craft and why the story is so important.
Stories gives us a History and Herstory and develops connections at a deeper level many of us are now seeking.
If you are keen to view some jewellery pieces or wish to discuss Earth Beat further, I would love to hear from you.
