Itinerary:
Thursday 24 April: 12md depart Timaru, Sth Canterbury. Confirm departure spot in Timaru nearer time. We will travel south by 4wd vehicles via Waimate and on through the beautiful Hydro Lakes System, McKenzie Basin and Lindis Pass towards Tarras. Our drivers are a very experienced, friendly group of guys and gal. They love showing others what our beautiful country has to offer, off road. Heading to Lake Hawea from Tarras we enter the Central Otago landscape with its spectacular tussock, mountains and lakes. We will wind our way up the northern edge of Lake Hawea reaching the Dingleburn station edge after Timaru creek.

Here the road is strictly for private use only and our very special weekend begins. An estimate of about 5hrs from Timaru will find us at the Shearers Quarters on the Dingleburn Station.

On our travel from Timaru, we will have plenty of opportunities to have a cuppa/ snack or two, and for the camera snapshot moments. The evening will be spent getting to know our group of girls, drivers, and helpers over dinner, and introductions to the high country families will be made.

Comfortable rooms and beds will await us as we chat into the night and maybe a game or two old fashioned style will occur around the dining table.

All meals/snacks are provided for the weekend from dinner on Thursday night to lunch on Monday. You may bring yr own personal snacks/drinks if you wish.

Friday 25 April -Anzac Day: We greet this dawn with an Anzac service of our own, to celebrate the selflessness of those who fought and fight to keep our country and families safe. As we eat breakfast together our high country breakfast, Anzac stories will be shared. Each of us will have a memory of someone we knew or know.

Today will be an opportunity to understand what high country living is about, how it ticks.Learn about the contributions these hard working people give to us everyday kiwis. See the 100yr old barn that was cut by hand by pit saw techniques.

Saturday 26 April: There will be a formal mountain bike ride today at the Dingleburn and we will get to see the participants as they race around the lake and over high country. A bit of walking and 4wd-ing today and maybe a fish or two.Experience the spectacular scenery with a hut night, bunking overnight. Kate is on hand to massage any areas of need with her wonderful hands and fab personality for you all.

Sunday 27 April: Explore the beach, lake and its treasures. Weather permitting may allow the opportunity to see some of the Lake Hawea area by inflatable boat. Visit the self sufficient hydro scheme that powers the station. More laughs, food, massages and stories back at the Shearers quarters over yummy food. Food tastes so great in the outdoors.

Monday 28 April: Our last morning at the Dingle, leisurely breakfast, pack up and goodbyes to all. Return to Timaru this time via Twizel, Pukaki( Mt Cooks best view), Tekapo, Fairlie and Timaru approx 3-4pm.

(This itinerary may change according to local conditions and allowance for special moments)
