The Road Less Travelled’s “out of the ordinary travel experiences for women” began with an opportunity to create a special place for women to enable a personal journey of the inner self.
To experience things out of the ordinary where women could begin a path towards reaching their full potential and in doing so connect with others to create ripples towards positive change to make this world a better place for all, is a key part of our holistic philosophy.
For small groups of women to come together, share travel experiences, step outside their comfort zones, find their own unique sense of place and begin their own journey into their future, has been a very rewarding personal experience for us.
To learn more about other people, cultures and our environment to create greater insights and tolerance, was a key driver in our philosophy.
We began with the beautiful South Island outdoors, women from many walks of life, starting out as strangers and ending up as amazing women who “felt the fear and did it anyway“.
The journey continued on into regular trips to Bali and its off the beaten track tours. It is with thanks to the many Balinese people who opened up their homes and hearts to us in the most extraordinary ways. For their insights ,their spiritual connections and to the children and caregivers of the Dharma Jati orphanage of Denpasar, thank you.
The Road Less Travelled women have also shared other journeys, from the magnificence of Aoraki, Mt Cook, to the Otago Rail trail and all the people we laughed, shared stories and biked with on the way, we have always been very blessed on all our travels to have you as part of our story.
To the World of Wearable Arts, pink Hummers, Tai Chi in downtown Wellington, Salsa lessons and star packages in an incredible show of texture, artistry and creative genius at its best, we journeyed together, laughed alot, loved the pampering and found something of difference that nourished the soul.
The Future
As we move towards 2012 we continue to evolve and in keeping with our philosophy of the Road LESS Travelled, a new direction and focus is in the making.
Many others are now doing what we began and we look forward to taking you on a new path.
Our core philosophy remains as one, for it is the journey where the learning begins and it is in the stories that we can make our future history a better one, for the generations yet to come.
Our vision is to take you to a place where we can nourish our souls, reconnect with the land and the people, recognise the contribution, and honor the knowledge, crafts, arts, skills and stories of those who came before.
In an atmosphere of spiritual well being and connectedness we welcome you to our Road Less Travelled World in 2012.
